The Festival D’Avion is a celebration of flight and freedom and honors the men and women that have served in the armed forces. The 1 ½ day event, hosted at the Moore County Airport includes a celebration concert, Runway 5K fun run, special aircraft exhibits, scheduled aircraft fly-overs, Warbird displays, precision jump team exhibitions, programmed entertainment and a special scheduled fly-out of all participating aircraft. The 5 branches of the military have approved participation for the Festival D’Avion and will provide a variety of static aircraft and military equipment displays. The five branches the Military will be recognized with static aircraft exhibits honoring the men and women who currently serve in the armed forces and those who have retired from military service.
The NCDBA has the opportunity to be the title sponsor for the Festival D’Avion VIP Welcome Hangar Party, which will be held on Friday April 12, 2019. The 90-minute reception will be held in the main aircraft (The Amelia Earhart Pavilion) hangar at Moore County Airport. The function will include honored guests from the various branches of the military, local and regional government leaders, sponsors and VIP guests. Participating NCDBA members will have the opportunity to network with other association members, attending military leaders and with the sponsors for the Festival. The party will include complimentary food & beverage offerings including a host bar.
